Bob and Dot sat comfortably on their soft couch, a warm fuzzy blanket wrapped around them. They both watched the fire in the fireplace dance wildly, as the orange flame inside burned brightly.

Their wedding had been one-of-a-kind. Everything had been done in white; the flower programs, the clothes; even Frisket was wearing a little white bow tie around his neck.

AndrAIa, Mouse, and Rebecca were the Bridesmaids, while Matrix, Ray, and Turbo were the Groomsmen. Enzo held the pillow with the sparkling wedding bands very carefully, as if he dropped the pillow he rings might shatter into a million pieces.

As the bride made her way up to the groom, their eyes locked and they smiled at one another. This was the one day they had waited for all their lives.

As Phong started the ceremony, neither of the sprites heard a word he said. All they knew at that one nano second was how much they loved each other and how strong their love was.

They both came back to reality as they heard those special vows that meant 'Forever'.

"Do you, Prime Guardian Bob Auston, take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife? To have and to hold, in sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer, till death do you part?"

"I do."

"And do you, Dot Matrix, take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband? To have and to hold, in sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer, till death do you part?"

"I do."

Phong looked at little Enzo. "The rings please."

He raised the pillow and let Bob take a ring.

"Repeat after me. With this ring, I do thee wed."

Bob took Dot's hand and slipped the ring on her finger. "With this ring, I do thee wed."

Dot also picked up a ring and slipped it onto Bob's finger. "With this ring, I do thee wed."

"By the power vested in me and by the Super Computer and the system Mainframe. I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride."

Bob raised Dot's veil; his eyes sparkled in the light. He wrapped his arms around her and whispered "I love you" then they both embraced in a deep and passionate kiss.

As they parted, everyone in the huge church stood up and cheered the newly weds.

"You really liked shoving that cake in my mouth didn't you?" Bob grinned as Dot giggled.

Bob let out a long content sigh. "I wouldn't mind doing today all over again. It seemed like the wedding went by so fast."

"It was like a dream come true." Dot closed her eyes and laid her head back against Bob's chest.

"We'll have to put up the Christmas tree within the next few days because Christmas is next week!" Dot reminded.

It was so quiet in their new house. It was designed partially by Turbo. The Prime Guardian and Command.com database were all located in the large basement of the house, only to be reached by Bob or Dot, for they were the only two that knew the password. The rest of the house was basically normal. It was designed to their own tastes.

Enzo had agreed to stay with AndrAIa and Matrix so the newly weds could have some time alone.

Bob caught a glimpse of something white falling outside one of the windows. He smiled warmly. "Snow."

Dot opened her eyes and looked out the window. "It's been a long time since it snowed in Mainframe. I was as young or younger than little Enzo the last time it snowed here."

"It snowed constantly in the Super Computer."

"Bob? Do you ever wish you could go back and live the Super Computer?"

"No. I have everything I could *ever* want right here. Great friends, a nice house, a great system, and best of all, I have you." Bob blushed at Bob's comment.

"So, how about we have a little celebration toast?" Bob poked her in the side.

"Sounds good to me."

Bob got up and ran to the kitchen. Bob walked back into the room carrying two crystal glasses and a chilled bottle of champagne. He sat the two glasses on a table and popped the bottle open.

He poured them both a glass, and handed one to Dot. He sat back down beside her. They touched glasses then Bob wrapped his arm around hers and they both took a drink.

Dot found herself staring into his warm brown eyes once again. The gentleness she saw there made her feel safe and secure.

They both finished their glasses, and sat them down on the table. Bob leaned forward to kiss his loving wife, then, all at once, the lights flickered and went out. Both sprites looked at each other, still able to see because of the blazing fire.

"The snow must have knocked out the power. Let's go get some candles."

They got up from the couch and walked back into the kitchen. Dot opened one of the closets, and started handing Bob some candles.

Bob grabbed some matches off the kitchen counter.

After they had lit the candles, Bob stood in the window and stared outside. The snow was coming down hard and fast.

Dot watched him, and got lost in her train of thought. She took a deep breath, and walked over to him, wrapped her arms around his middle, and laid her head against his back.

"Bob? I need to...tell you something."

Bob turned to face her, he could clearly see apprehension and happiness in her eyes, but why the apprehension? "Dot. Is something wrong?"

She giggled a little. "No. Something is very right for once."

Bob turned his head sideways, looking at her puzzled.

"Bob, I'm having your daughter."

His eyes went wide, his jaw slacked. "You're...you're...having my daughter?"

At Dot's nod, Bob lifted her up and spun her around. He was so full of joy and happiness. He kissed Dot repetitively, making her giggle again.

"Dot!! Where are you!?" Bob yelled, getting more and more frantic by the nano-second. She had only momentarily been right behind him, then without a trace, disappeared.

"Dot! Answer me!!" Still nothing but an eerie silence that made him shiver.

"Is this what you're looking for, Bob?" A shadowed figure stepped out from the darkness.

Bob spun around, eyes wide, his core-com skipping a beat.

"Megabyte...How?"

"Really now, Bob. You didn't really think the web could hold me back did you?"

Bob was getting furious. "What have you done with Dot!?"

Megabyte moved aside. Bob's breath caught in his throat.

There, on the ground, lay Dot; eyes closed, body battered and bleeding.

"No..." Bob choked. He kneeled down beside her, lifted her body up carefully, and cradled her. Tears ran down his face.

Megabyte loomed over him. "I'm going to make your life miserable, Bob. I'm going to take away everything you love, and make you suffer. She is only the beginning."

He gently kissed Dot's cheek. Her body faded, then as a gust of cyber wind blew across them, she was gone.

"Nooooooooo!!!"

Bob bolted up on the bed; sweating and trembling.

He looked beside him at Dot, sleeping, and started to cry. He caressed her cheek and tucked the blanket around her to keep her warm.

He slung his legs over the side of the bed and got up. He walked down to the kitchen and noticed the power had come back on, but the situation outside was different. Snow and ice was everywhere. There was, at the least, 2 bits of snow on the ground.

He fixed himself a hot cup of Java and sat down at the table. He wiped away his tears and tried to recompose himself before Dot woke up and seen him this way.

To settle his mind, Bob left the table and walked down to the basement.

"Please enter the password." The security system prompted.

Bob opened a panel and typed in his 6 digit code.

"Access granted. Welcome Prime Guardian Bob."

Bob walked into the room and sat down in front of a large control panel.

"Computer, Scan for virus program named 'Megabyte'."

"Acknowledging request. Please wait."

Bob watched the monitors carefully but impatiently.

"Virus file Megabyte, Not found."

Bob heaved a long sigh of relief, and looked over the other monitors before turning them off.

Bob walked back up the stairs from the control room and opened the door, going back into the

main room of their house.

"Ackkk!!" Bob nearly ran into Dot as he was turning around, scaring them both.

Dot held on to a door frame, trying to calm herself. "You scared the living cursors outta me!!"

Bob smiled weakly at her and apologized. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to."

"What are you doing up this early anyway? I figured you'd want to sleep awhile since it doesn't look like we'll be going anywhere soon." Dot said, pointing outside to the snow.

"I ummm just woke up and couldn't go back to sleep. That's all."

"Bob, are you feeling ok? Your eyes look a little red. Your not coming down with a cold are you?" She touched his forehead and cheeks seeing if he had a temperature.

"I'm fine sweetheart. Really." He wasn't about to tell her about his horrible nightmare, afraid that it might scare her also. For now, he was just going to keep it to himself. "How are you feeling today?"

"I'm ok. I felt a little woozy when I got up but that's all." Dot hugged him tightly.

"Well now, that's to be expected isn't it?" Bob smiled warmly at her and kissed her lips gently.

Dot giggled and hugged him tight. "So, should we be thinking about a name? Or wait until it's a little closer to that time?" Dot asked, smiling at him.

"Well, before I tell you what name I like, you tell me if you have any ideas first."

"Hmmmm...I really can't think of one at the moment. But there is one thing. I want its name to start with an 'R'."

Bob's grin got even wider.

"What're you smiling at, handsome?" She playfully poked him in his side, making him squirm a little.

"Well, the name I like begins with an 'R'."

"Oh really? Well what is it?"

"It's just a suggestion, so if you don't like it, tell me."

"Ok."

"How about the name 'Rachel'?"

"That sounds nice."

"Really? You like it?"

"I love it! I think that's what we'll name it." She acted like she was going to kiss him then took off running into the kitchen, laughing her head off.

Bob stood there dazed for a nano. "Hey!! Wait a nano sec!" He chuckled then ran after her into the kitchen.

"Master Lotus! I have some terrible news!"

"What is it, servant? Can't you see I'm resting?" He tapped his claws on the arm of his throne, annoyed that he had been interrupted from his little nap.

"It's your mother! She was deleted by Interface!"

"Oh really? And what's so terrible about that? I've been trying to erase her for nano-cycles!"

"But, what about Interface?"

"Oh yes. That young guardian I was spying on while he was here in the Web. He is a strong one, isn't he?" He rubbed his chin in thought. "How did he destroy my mother, anyways?"

"It's been said by one of our special spies that the Guardian has some sort of special powers, my lord. That's how he destroyed her."

"Special powers, you say?" He thought again for a brief nano then spoke again. "That much power could be very useful."

The young servant waited patiently for any orders he might recieve.

"You may go back to your guarding duties now. And keep a sharp eye out for anything suspicious. The scanners were picking up some odd energy signatures."

"Thank you my lord." He bowed then walked out of the throne room.

Lotus sat there in deep thought. His fur covered, black tail, twitched back and forth slightly. Even though Daemon had looked like a normal super virus, her son had mutated into something totally different.

Lotus' entire body was covered with soft black fur. His face looked like that of a panther with red glowing eyes of his mother.

Lotus rubbed his face and thought out-loud."How will I get the Guardian to cooperate with me, without harming him? I'll need him healthy for the task ahead."

Just then, the large doors to the throne room creaked open.

"Master, Lotus? We captured an intruder trying to infect some of the personnel and the defense equipment. He says his name is 'Megabyte'."

"Bring him in! Bring him in! I'd like to talk with this 'Megabyte'."

"Yes master." The young sprite poked his head out the doors and motioned for the guards to bring him in.

"That will be all." He motioned for the guards to leave.

"Who are you!?" Megabyte roared.

"Now, now. Watch your temper. All I want is some information from you."

"You'll get nothing from me." Megabyte growled.

Lotus noticed black tendrils sticking out of the virus's back. "I see a web-creature got to you before I did." Lotus commented.

"Who are you?"

"Oh how rude of me! I didn't even introduce myself! I am Lotus. A class 12 supervirus. And you are Megabyte, from a system called Mainframe."

"How did you know?"

"I have my ways of knowing things. Just as I know that you have some information on a certain Guardian that I have in mind that goes by the name 'Bob' I do believe."

"The guardian is a clever one. I tried to rid of him many times, but failed."

"Does he have any weaknesses?"

"The Command.Com." Megabyte answered.

Lotus cocked a brow."Why the Command.com?"

"The Guardian has certain feelings for her."

Lotus thought for a nano. "It's perfect! Why didn't I see it before!? If I take away what he loves the most, he'll have no choice but to obey me!" Lotus turned his back to Megabyte for a brief nano second.

Megabyte saw this as an opportunity to over-take the Supervirus, and extended the claws on his one good hand, as he slowly crept closer to him.

Lotus sensed something was wrong. His ears layed back and he whirled around, grasping Megabyte by the neck, holding him at least 3 bits off the floor. "I will have none of that!!" Lotus growled, then tossed the virus across the room.

The guards scrambled back into the room and apprehended Megabyte.

"Take him to the file erasure chamber."

Megabyte struggled to free himself. One of the guards raised his gun and fired a tranquilizer dart into the virus's stomach where the gash was, knocking him unconscious. They grabed his arms and dragged him away.

Lotus walked over to a large window and piered out into the dark web sky. "Be prepared, guardian. Be prepared."

"A little to the left!"

Bob tried to carefully get the star on the tree so it would be straight.

"No! Your other left!"

He moved the star again. "That better?"

"I guess so," Dot giggled.

Bob stood behind her and wrapped his arms around her as they both looked at the tree.

"Bob?"

"Yeah?"

"I love you."

Bob grinned and nuzzled his cheek against her. "I love you too, sweetie."

Enzo was sitting behind them on the couch. "Wow ,Bob! The tree really looks cool!"

"I have to agree with you there, Enzo. It does look pretty good." Bob released Dot, and went over to Enzo. He started tickling him.

Enzo laughed so hard he fell over on his side, gasping for air because of his laughter.

Bob stopped and he and Enzo both got up and slowly walked over to Dot. They grabbed her andstarted tickeling her as well.

"You guys! Quit file! Log-off!" Tears streamed down her face as she laughed.

Bob and Enzo smiled at each other and stopped.

"You two are so mean to me!" Dot said, wiping the tears off her face and still giggling slightly.

"Awwww... What's a matter? Grandma can't take it?" Bob chuckled.

Dot looked at him sternly. "Grandma? Did you just call *ME* grandma!?"

"Uhhhhhhhh..."

"Tell me something, Bob. Do you enjoy sleeping on the couch?"

Bob looked down at the floor and pouted. Dot raised his chin so he was looking at her.

"You call me grandma again, and you're toast Blue Boy." She kissed him softly on the cheek.

"Is that all I get? A peckon the cheek?" Bob grinned.

"You'd better be glad I kissed you at all after what you just called me!" She smiled.

"Ooook That's good enough for me." Bob smiled sheepishly.

*~~~~The Web ~~~~*

"Back to your training!" Lotus yelled.

"But sir. You said we could take a break."

"Break is over. Now do as you are told!" He gave them one last stern look, then closed thevid-window.

Lotus's servant walked up to him and asked. "Master Lotus? Why do you train the troops so hard?"

"Because once I convince the Guardian to join me, we can immediately strike against the entire Net, taking all those poor fools by surprise and making then all bow down to me as their leader!" Lotus grinned evily as he thought about it. "In the meantime, I want you to make sure the troops are doing as they are told."

"Yes sir."

Lotus sat in his throne room alone and thought out loud."The time grows near when we must strike down our victims and claim our risen victory."

Chapter 5

Lotus observed his troops carefully, making sure they was all doing their training. He looked around, noticing one sprite sitting on the floor. He walked over and stood in front of the viral sprite. The greyish coloured sprite looked up at him.

"Why are you not training?" Lotus asked, eyeing the sprite carefully.

"Sir. I've been training non-stop for the past 2 cycles! I'm so tired, I can't hardly stand up. Please just give me a few more nano-seconds to rest, then I'll get straight back to training."

Lotus still continued to look at the sprite harshly. "You know what the penalty is for not doing as you are told."

The sprite looked at him in horror. "Please, sir! I'll get back to work right now!"

"You only get one chance to mess up here, and you just crashed yours." Lotus motioned for the guards. "Take him to the gas chamber."

The young sprite begged and pleaded as he was being taken from the room. "Please! I beg of you! Give me one more chance!? I'll never sit down again! Just PLEASEdon't take me down there! Nooooo!!!"

The door shut and the room went silent once again. Lotus looked at the others. "I hope all of you have learned a lesson from this." He left the room. In the corner of the training room, a woman continued her training, only stopping for a brief second to wipe the tears off her face.

*~~~MAINFRAME~~~*

"That was some pretty amazin' cookin' there, sugah. Where did ya learn ta cook like that?" Mouse asked.

Dot poked Bob in the side. "He taught me." Everyone looked at Bob in awe.

"You can cook!?" everyone said.

Bob put his hands on his hips and smiled. "I didn't *always* work on my car." The sprites laughed.

Frisket was sitting on the floor in front of Enzo, happily chewing on a giant sized bone-format he had recieved from Bob for Christmas.

Bob suddenly remembered something and ran upstairs.

AndrAIa looked at Dot."What do you suppose he's doing?" Dot shrugged.

Bob ran back down the stairs with a smile on his face and his hands behind his back. Dot continued to look at him puzzled.

They had already given each other their gifts, so that couldn't be it...or did Bob have another surprise for her? He outstretched his hand to her. He held a long, slender box.

She took it from his hand and unwrapped it. Her jaw went slack. "Bob it's...it's...BEAUTIFUL!!!" Dot's eyes got damp as she looked at the golden-chained necklace that had a little gold-diamond icon on it.

Bob took it from its case and slipped it around her neck. She continued to marvel at it, then flung her arms around his neck and hugged him.

"I love it, and you," she whispered in his ear as she hugged him then started to kiss him.

AndrAIa grabbed her camera and took a picture of them as they kissed. They both looked at her and grinned.

WARNING. INCOMING GAME. WARNING. INCOMING GAME

Dot rolled her eyes. "Oh yeah.. Perfect timing," she said sarcastically.

Bob looked out the window to see where the game was landing.

"Well, at least we don't have to go to the game," Bob sighed.

"Why?" Matrix asked.

Everyone rebooted once they were inside the game.

"Uh oh," Bob said.

Dot noticed the expression on Bob's face, but before she could say anything, the ground started to shake as if something big was coming towards them.

"We're in trouble aren't we?" Dot asked.

"This game is Jurassic Park. We have to make it to the control room and get the power back on-line to the fences."

They all turned their attention to the trees in front of them. They moved and swayed as if something was knocking them over. An ear-piercing roar came from that direction.

"RUN!" Bob yelled.

Everyone strated running in the opposite direction, only to be stopped by the thing that was chasing them...a T-REX!

Friscuit made a low whining noise and started to tremble.

"Nobody move. Nobody breathe. Nobody gets eaten," Bob whispered, "They can only see things that move."

It moved closer to them and sniffed little Enzo. He trembled, his teeth chattering in fear.

The large dinosaur let out a puff of air that knocked Enzo's hat off. Another noise from behind the T-Rex caught its attention.

While its head was turned, Enzo burried his face in Bob's side. He was on the verge of tears because he was so scared.

The dinosaur turned its attention back to the sprites, sniffing them carefully and looking for any movement. It sniffed over them one last time, then walked away. No one moved until they could no longer feel its footsteps.

Dot hugged both Enzo and Bob. Matrix wiped a bit of sweat off his forehead.

"I do believe that's the closest I've ever been to being eaten!" Matrix said.

AndrAIa nudged his arm. "You're not the only one, Sparky."

Bob continued to look in the direction of where the T-Rex had gone. "Stay alert guys. I have a feeling we may have more company later."

"Oh goody," Dot said sarcastically. The bushes beside her moved. She almost clobbered Bob as she tried to get away from them, afraid of what was going to come out.

A tiny Dinosaur, no larger than a bird, ran past them. Dot sighed in relief.

"Dot?"

"Yes, dear?"

"Honey, you're on my foot."

Dot grinned and giggled. "Sorry."

Bob turned around and mouthed out 'Ow'. Mouse and the others laughed.

"We've gotta get in there and get that access key...But how?" Bob thought briefly, noticing there were two doors that lead out of that room: the one they were standing in front of, and another one on the opposite side.

"If we can somehow lure those Raptors out of the room through that door so we can get in, we can get the key, But what can we use for bait?"

Everyone looked at Bob.

"Okay, when Bob lets the raptors chase him out of the room, we go in, get the key, then we get out ASAP."

Meanwhile, Bob was at the opposite door. He opened the door, and got the Raptors attention. "Come and get me you piles of scales!"

They growled and hissed at him. One jumped up on the counter where the key was and knocked it to the floor.

Bob ran out of the room with the Raptors right behind him. He yelled to the others as he ran down the hallways. "Will you guys hurry up and get the key already?! THEY'RE GOING TO EAT ME!"

They quickly ran inside the room and looked around for the key.

"Hey, mates! It's under here!" Ray was on his knees, looking under a cabinet. He reached under it, his finger tips gliding over the corner of the key. He streatched harder, still unable to grasp it.

They all heard loud crashes coming from other rooms then saw Bob running towards them, the Raptors close behind him.

"Ray, hurry!" Dot pleaded.

He stretched as far as he could, and finally was able to get it.

"Let's bail!" Enzo yelled.

Just as they were leaving the room, Bob ran back into it. "Close the other door!" He yelled.

Matrix ran around to the other side and shut the door behind the Raptors. Bob quickly ran out the other door and slammed it behind him.

Bob slid his back down the door until he was sitting on the floor, panting and gasping for air.

"Bob, are you alright?" Dot kneeled down beside him, and wiped some of the sweat off his face.

"Yeah...I'm.. great!" he panted, "Never... been.. better!" Dot grabed his hand and helped him to stand up.

"Come on guys. Let's go end this game."

"Umm..guys? Which door?" AndrAIa pointed to all the door in the long hallway.

"I guess we'll just have to try them all." They started opening doors, looking for the controls to get the power back on-line.

"Hey! Is this what you're looking for?" Enzo shouted.

Everyone walked inside, and there before them, were the controls.

"Way to go, sugah!"

"Yeah, now if we can only figure out what the codes are." AndrAIa put the key in its place, and started punching in numbers.

ACCESS DENIED.

Dot heard noises out in the hall, and looked out to see what it was. Two raptors were heading for the room they were in.

"Bob! We've got company!"

Quickly! Bar the door!" Mouse shut the door, but wasn't fast enough. One of the Raptors had it's claws stuck though the crack in the door, keeping it from shutting.

"You're not getting in here!" Bob burned its claws with red energy, making it pull back and letting the door shut.

They moved desks and other things infront of the door to keep them from getting in.

AndrAIa was still punching in numbers, trying to figure out the combination.

"Come on, Andy. You can do it." Matrix said.

ACCESS DENIED.

"Oh cursors!" She blindly pushed a few numbers in, getting annoyed.

ACCESS GRANTED.
